Tidings of comfort and joy.

My dear roommate, Ashley, mentioned that my blog is depressing. So in an effort to bring the levity, I thought I’d relate some of my favorite moments from the past couple months.

Amanda Rose wanting so desperately to find me a boyfriend, that she pointed at a guy walking down the street. As he passed us, we both tilted our heads to the side when we noticed he was wearing a ‘Cher’ t-shirt. Sorry, AR, I don’t think it’s happening.

“What’s your middle name, Leigh?” me, to my press lead in Asheville, NC.
“Lynch.”
“Wow. Well that’s a family name.”
“And a CRIME.”

Brooks Alford calling out a Code Red that sent the entire Pro Sales team running away from their desks.

Joseph Paul Padgett
standing in the middle of the McCain Press Corps and shouting, “America! Spanish/American War! Justice!” and the like…without…flinching.

The man yelling at Ashley Vandeberghe downtown telling her repeatedly how she was the cream in his coffee.

“What do you want, Chris?” Ashley to Christy, after a late night of dancing downtown as we were pulling into the McDonalds drive-thru.
“A man. I just want a man. With ketchup on the side.”

“You’re Indian?? As in, Native American??” me to Brooke Murphy.
“No, American Indian.”

“I’m really nervous, but it’s overshadowed by the fact that I really need to poop.” Justin Rosolino. On stage. At his cd release.

Watching Andy Hunt act out a scene from East of Eden with the most over-zealous acting student EVER. There were props, people. PROPS.

Sweet Ashley Vandeberghe singing every word…EVERY. WORD. of TI’s ‘Whatever You Like‘.

This list can only grow. 2009 here we come! : )
