Turkey with a bit of war on top, if you please.

My first movies growing up were about WWII and the Holocaust. I’m not kidding. Out of the womb and boom, let’s all sit down to a family watching of Hanna’s War, why don’t we?

So I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised when every family holiday ends in a war movie. But as this Thanksgiving was spent at my house here in Nashville, Poppa Kahne was a bit beside himself as I have no war movies to choose from. The answer to his melancholy state? Swing Kids. Because if you can’t have war, let’s at least have some Nazi bashing.

Now we’re closing the night with The Bourne Ultimatum. Just to be sure we’ve got enough action to round out the holiday of thankfulness.

I hope you’ve all been able to get your own Thanksgiving traditions in today. And if they included celebrating triumph over the Nazis, cheers to you. :-)
